About us

Professional Freelance photographer, Rachel Mullins, is based in Hungerford, Berkshire, working in and around the Home Counties, the South and the West, although more than willing to travel further afield as necessary. Her Australian heritage, combined with a childhood spent in Hong Kong and broad travelling experience lends her photography a nuanced, open-minded and multi-cultural perspective. She is passionate about capturing life and the world in all its many fascinating shades, whether as a landscape, portrait, travel or cultural experience.

“Simply, I feel lucky that my photography allows me such a uniquely creative opportunity to capture, frame by frame, how I see the world and what I feel. Ultimately it allows me to contribute in a positive and meaningful way to our extraordinarily beautiful, complex, yet also, fragile world.”

Rachel studied graphic design and photography at London University of the Arts (Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design and the London College of Communications (2002-2006).

Lifestyle Portraits

“Successful portrait sessions are always based on trust. It is important to me to spend time with my clients, to identify with them and to understand what is involved and what they want from their portrait session or wedding photography. It’s all based on trust. Once trust is established my clients are able to relax and the assignments or sessions are hugely enjoyable.”

“It is always exciting to capture the underlying essence of a place, the luminous naturalness of an individual, the subtle energy that makes the difference between a simple snapshot and a truly indelible image.”

Bumps and Babies

There is no sweeter bump, than the bump of your baby-in-waiting. No greater gift, than the gift of motherhood. No more meaningful time, than that spent in happy anticipation of first bump, then baby.

I love to help new mums and mums-to-be capture the thrill of these unforgettable feelings, this precious, yet all too fleeting time, with the most beautiful and natural images they can treasure forever. Taken in the relaxed privacy of their own homes, my special ‘Bump’ and ‘New Baby’ photo-shoots are approached sensitively, but also with a sense of appropriately gentle fun.

Weddings

Rachel’s ability to create stunning contemporary images in very natural environments, combined with her own natural confidence and creativity and her careful professionalism for each and every assignment, makes her an increasingly sought after wedding photographer.

“Every client and every assignment is important to me. I feel very privileged in my role as wedding photographer and greatly value and enjoy the personal interaction and connection with my clients that is based on mutual trust and integrity.
