After major investment by the Coaching Inn Group, Hungerford’s Three Swans Hotel, Eatery and Coffee Shop is once again open for business and looks set to be Hungerford’s go-to place for accommodation, eating, drinking and just hanging out with a coffee.

On Thursday 10th August, a crowd turned out for the VIP Preview to re-launch this Hungerford Institution on a tide of free champagne and canapes. Guests were treated to guided tours of the completely refurbished areas of this

historic coaching inn, updated to reflect changing tastes but still retaining the original archway through which carriages once used to enter the courtyard. Re-modelled with the best customer experience in mind, a huge bar and serving area is well-lit and tastefully decorated with great attention to detail.

three swans BarThe outside courtyard area is sharp, clean and functional with covered spaces offering a view into the kitchen via floor to ceiling windows. Inside, with a nod to the coaching inn’s past, there are comfortable wing-back chairs brought up to date in modern florals. Ditto the hotel’s comfortable rooms where Edwardian white tile bathrooms are mixed with modern furnishing and headboard backlighting. And the sports mad weekend-away guest can luxuriate in free Sky Sports in every room on large TVs.

The Coaching Inn Group is a rapidly expanding family concerns who focus their business exclusively on small market towns. The Three Swans is their 13th inn with plans to have twenty five in the groupthree swans Bar by 2018. The hotel has 40 staff, 31 of which are newly created positions and they are looking to recruit more still. Call for details.
