Walking home for Christmas

MP Richard Benyon with Lord Coe

MP Richard Benyon will be walking home for Christmas this year having been banned from driving for six months after texting at the wheel. Pictured above with Lord Coe, possibly picking up a few tips on getting there a little bit quicker, Benyon ran out of points on his license resulting in the ban.

Magistrates at Willesden, north London were unswayed by Benyon's defence that 'He moved only five to seven meters. And that is at about walking pace.' imposing the new 6 point tarriff for use of a mobile phone while driving and leaving Hungerford's MP with many more metres to enjoy at a walking pace.
