Hungerford Town Team - Active promotion for the town

on 20 September 2013.

Promoting Hungerford as a great destination for visitors, a great place to shop, to live and to work is the focus of Hungerford’s Town Team.

Formed earlier this year, Town Team has already created and introduced a variety of promotional items and there’s much more to come.

Proving popular with visitors –and freely available in most shops is the Hungerford ‘map-pad’. Simply a tear-off pad of illustrated town maps, this simple device helps visitors find all the shops they want and all the landmarks and places of interest they need.

Two new leaflets are also now also in use across the town. Relax Hungerford and Love Hungerford both highlight the numerous reasons for people to come to Hungerford from our places to eat, drink and stay to our major events and attractions.

And these is more on the way – in production now are two new leaflets - Walk Hungerford showing all the walking routes of interest in and around the town and Antique Hungerford which is a show-piece for our thriving antiques businesses which are, of course, a major attraction for visitors too.

Also in the Town Team pipeline are plans to develop an even more exciting events calendar, to encourage a bigger and better market and to support initiatives which make the town ever more attractive – and easier to park in!

Town Team is closely involved with this new town website too – a Townsite which is already gaining huge support not only from the town’s businesses and shops but also with you, our regular site visitors

Benchmarking, measuring Hungerford’s promotional efforts against those of other towns, has also been commissioned and completed by Town Team and Townsite will be bring you more detailed results of this benchmarking very soon as will details of a new town plan.
