hungerford remembrance 2017 march

This year we join together in solemnity and gratitude as the community of Hungerford, to witness the Remembrance Sunday parade.

The parade, which is to be held on Sunday the 12th of November marks the end of bloodshed in WW1 and commemorates the families who are still affected by war to this day.

hungerford remembrance 2017 march This Sunday, the community of Hungerford will line the high street in memory of the heroic servicemen and women who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

The parade will begin in the high street, starting at the Town Hall at approximately 10.39am, followed by marching to the Bridge St War Memorial where a service will take place and a two-minute silence will be held.

The parade is part of a series of events that will be happening in the town, along with the remembrance dinner on the 11th November and a morning service at St Lawrence’s church at 9.30am on Sunday the 12th of November.
