HTFC clouds gather at sunny Histon

HTFC

Hungerford Town FC risks slipping down the Southern League premier division tale following two losses in a week. The first was a 1-0 defeat in a tight away game against Poole Town.

Then it was off to sunny Histon where a 2-1 score line meant gathering clouds for Hungerford as the teams around them in the league, still with games in hand over Hungerford, begin to look more threatening.

It was Scot Rees who seized a loose ball to beat some poor Histon defending to score for HTFC. It was late in the second half when Histon headed in an equaliser, followed up in the dying minutes of the game with a winning goal.

HTFC now faces Truro City and Redditch United in the league, plus a cup game against East Thurrock this Saturday, a good day to pop up to the ground and give our team a cheer!
