It might be a small country town but Hungerford is never afraid to put on a show, throw a party or organise an event. No sooner will the decorations for the Extravaganza be taken down than a great retail celebration will be taking place. On Thursday 17th December, the great majority of retailers will be taking part in a Late Night Shopping event when the shops will remain open until 8pm.

If you spend your weekdays working and don't want to spend your weekends wrestling with Christmas shoppers in the bigger towns, then this event is one for the diary. There is something magical about shopping at night when the the town is certain to look lovely with the Christmas decorations in place and the shops windows brightly lit. It's the perfect opportunity to make an occasion of it by stopping for a drink or a meal in any one of Hungerford's great hotels, pubs and restaurants. Let the seasonal splurge commence.
