Calendars and what's on guides are brimming with Christmas shopping events but few will be as stridently classy as Hungerford's very own Bridge Street Late Night Shopping Event on 3rd December. The shops will stay open until 8pm with a glass of wine will be on offer for all browsers. late_night_shopping_hungerfordThere will doubtless be a good showing of locals but it is expected that people will be prepared to travel to take advantage of this most elegant occasion. With easy parking, no hideous shopping centre crowds and a good selection of pubs and restaurants for refreshment, it's not hard to see why.

Dubbed the 'Bond Street of Berkshire' (see previous article) Bridge Street is home to some of the most upscale and interesting shops outside of London where within a short distance you will find exciting modern art, country sporting goods, antique and contemporary silver, bespoke jewellery and luxury interior design. You will also find stylish clothing, high-end lingerie, inspired floral arrangements and even bridal gowns. The twelve shops of Christmas participating in this special events are:
