When we say ‘we’re all in it together’ we really mean it. Mary Portas (TV’s 'queen of shops') has put the spotlight on the survival of our town’s High Streets.

Four out of ten High Street shops will close in the next five years, at least that’s what the experts predict. A Hungerford High Street without our favourite shops is unimaginable but the truth is that unless the shops can make money they will close – and they make their money from us, their customers. So SHOP HUNGERFORD with pride and purpose.

Hungerford Townsite provides an innovative support for our local shops and businesses. No nuisance advertising, Townsite instead offers every shop and every business its own micro-site where its promotions, offers, information and news can be presented to us all.

  • For less than a cheap cup of tea a day, even the smallest of our traders can be aim to boost their business by telling you just why you should shop with them and not take your custom out of town. And by so doing, those shop-keepers and business owners are also supporting the town and its good causes.
  • Trite but true – we use it or lose it.

Every business you see on Hungerford Townsite will be doing its best to give you the service and value you demand – often with great expertise and knowledge too. Why wouldn’t we take every advantage of the fine shops and businesses we have in Hungerford and help keep our town the lovely, active, varied and enticing place it is to live and to visit?
