Book Talk Hungerford Town Hall 25th May

In the 1930s maverick MI5 officer M. Maxwell Knight recruited two remarkable female spies to penetrate the British Communist movement. An animal loving drop-out who went on to become MI5's greatest spymaster, M. Maxwell Knight was the inspiration for James Bond's M.

In his critically acclaimed new book, M. Maxwell Knight: MI5's Greatest Spymaster, author Henry Hemming details the extraordinary life and achievements of this most unorthodox of men and will be coming to Hungerford to give a talk on Thursday 25th May at 7.30pm in Hungerford Town Hall. Already the recipient of rave reviews from The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail and The Times, the publication of Hemming's book looks set to be one of the high points of the publishing calendar.

Tickets cost £6 and include £5 off the price of the book and a free glass of wine. They can either be bought from Hungerford Bookshop, 24 High Street, Hungerford. Tel 01488 683480. Online at www.hungefordbookshop.co.uk or artsforhungerford.com
