10.30-4pm Sunday 8th October

Hungerford loves its grub and on Sunday 8th October the Town Hall and High Street will burst into a hive of foodie fun with over 40 stalls, sizzling street food, cooking demonstrations and lots more for the annual Food Festival.

This greatly loved annual event brings together local food producers, experts and members of the community to celebrate harvest-time and the abundance of reliably sourced, high quality food on our doorstep. hungerford food festivalIncluded in the day’s events will be the popular Cook-Off competition, a pumpkin challenge and demonstrations from Audley Inglewood’s head chef Gert Pienaar, Masterchef semi-finalist Ollie Hunter and the old trout-smoker himself, Hungerford’s Nicholas Lumley.

Answering questions about alternatives to GM farming and the provenance of the food on your plate will be Lawrence Woodward, one of the UK’s top organic and sustainable food experts. And of course the shopping is heaven with local beer, honey, grass-fed beef, quality cheeses and locally smoked meats and fish. Among the stallholders will be festival favourites Greys Cheese, Gastro Nick’s Delicatessen, Tutts Clump Cider, Newbury Beekeepers, Doves Farm and many, many more. Bring a large shopping bag.
