Bestselling authors Katherine Webb and Vanessa La Faye will be headlining an exclusive evening in conversation with their editor, Laura Gerrard of Orion books on Tuesday 3rd of October at 7.30pm to discuss their new novels, Webb’s The Hiding Places and At First Light by La Faye

The dynamic duo have sparked mass media interest, with their debut novels topping the literary charts of the Sunday Times top 10 bestsellers, Best New Writer and Richard and Judy’s book club respectively. at first lightThe evening offers fiction fans the opportunity to meet the women behind these landmark novels, discover their inspiration and gain insight into the characters that have captivated readers across the world.

Katherine Webb was born in Kent in 1977 and grew up in rural Hampshire before reading History at Durham University. Her passion for history informs her novels, inspiring mystery and drama from historical settings. She writes, "I love to explore the way past events can reverberate in the present, and I'm fascinated by the vast grey areas in human morality and behaviour".

Vanessa LaFaye was raised in Tampa, Florida. A keen explorer, she was drawn across the Atlantic to European shores. Her thirst for adventure is the lifeforce of her work, inspiring her compelling literature. She writes, “Writing was always a part of my life, but I did not make any efforts to get published until my 40s. At age 51, I’m proof that it’s never too late to have your dreams come true.”
