As part of Independent Bookshop Week – 24th June to 1st July – the ever-inventive Hungerford Bookshop are busy wrapping books in plain brown paper then hiding them around town to highlight the event. Keep your eyes peeled for benches, walls and shopfronts where these secret gifts will be placed. It’s a bit of fun, a way of thanking customers for their loyal service and reminding people of what a great resource your local independent bookshop is.
