Vagina Dialogues

When it's a dialogue. Lis Allen, founder of the Vagina Dialogues has provoked outrage and fascination in equal measure with the ground-breaking event she created to explore the role of mothers. Responsible for shaping their children's destinies, mothers model the systems of belief which will underpin the direction their lives will take. As Allen says meaningfully, 'Mothers are the agents of change.'

The Vagina Dialogues is an attempt to explore this mythological role from a variety of perspectives. We may not all be mothers, but we all have one and her influence on the way we think and live our lives is profound. Lis Allen describes the event as a 'thought-shop', a place where women come together to pool their experience to gain new and empowering insights on how they live their lives, often unthinkingly and break free of limiting behaviours.

As a mother of four with a thirty year career working for organisations as diverse as the NHS,Vagina Dialogues the House of Commons and BBC Radio under her belt Lis has learned about human nature on the shop floor and is an expert observer of all its potential and shortcomings. In her role as a personal development coach, Lis works with a broad range of clients, from individuals trying to re-build their emotional lives after a break-up to multi-million pound companies looking to unlock the potential of their workforce.

Lis often works with people seeking change on a personal level but unable to find a way forward. She believes that the power of transformation is within each of us that we are trapped less by external forces than by our own limiting self-beliefs. Through her work not just as a coach but as a motivational speaker, Lis's constant challenge is to peel back layers of conditioning and guide clients to live authentically, in tune with their profoundest desires.

'It's all about focus' says Lis who works with people by using the latest psychological theory and practice to achieve clarity around their goals. Once identified, she coaches her clients to achieve those goals through effective communication and strategies for personal empowerment. If you are trying to motivate your workforce or are just an individual who feels stuck with their life, Lis Allen Personal Development could help unlock the new, authentic you.
