hungerford food festival 2016

This perennial favourite on the Hungerford calendar returns for another year on Sunday 2nd October, 10.30-4pm, pleasing the foodies amongst us. With over forty stalls of local produce and delicious street food spread across the Town Hall and High Street, the festival also includes demonstrations by local chefs and an eagerly anticipated talk from mushroom expert Roger Phillips. The Hungerford Food Festival Cookery Competition will be running as usual so sharpen those knives and perfect those recipes! A full list of stallholders and events on the day will be published shortly.

Avebury is a henge monument (which is an ancient place surrounded by a bank and ditch) and is the world’s largest prehistoric stone circle, originally comprising of some 100 standing stones, with two inner stone circles.

Those of us who live here don't have to think twice, we love it and, you've had a job to persuade us to go elsewhere.

Compared to many towns, Hungerford High Street is in good shape. It is better now than it has been for years...

Walking in the beautiful areas of outstanding natural beauty in and around Hungerford is a very special experience.

Next time you visit Littlecote House keep a wary eye out for ghosts. That black dog you see on the stairs may not be all it seems!

Enjoy your visit and don't foget to let us know how it went
