Over and out: an afternoon with Henry Blofield

on 18 April 2018.

Henry Blofeld

Cricket broadcasting legend Henry Blofeld, the voice of Test match special will be making a personal appearance at the award-winning Hungerford bookshop on Thursday 26th of April at 1pm. He will be signing copies of his memoir, Over and out, with a limited number of signed copies available to reserve on the day.

Fondly described as ‘a national treasure’ and ‘the voice of summer’, seldom have sports commentators commanded the loyalty and respect of fans like Blofeld. Aficionados of Test Match Special will concur that he was a pretty sharp batsman in his day, playing cricket for Eton against Harrow at Lords when he was just fifteen. Now in his retirement, his life of incident and anecdote is perfectly wrapped up in this thrilling memoir.
