Move over Black Friday, it’s time for Saturday Sanctuary!

on 16 November 2017.

In the run up to the notorious Black Friday event, the high street will teem with anxious shoppers hustling and bustling through the local stores for the best bargains running up to Christmas.

It could be easy to believe that shopping for Christmas is meant to be a stressful experience with Wham blaring on the radio as you squabble for the last board game on the shelf. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be as our local Hungerford Bookshop is redefining Christmas shopping with an evening of calm and sanctuary on Saturday the 25th of November from 6-8pm.

Their event, which is aptly named ‘Saturday Sanctuary’ will provide 2 wonderfully tranquil hours of calm as you browse the beautiful collection of books for every age and interest.

The bookshop will also be joined by Justine from Literati & Light, who will be showcasing her sumptuous collection of candles with fragrances inspired by books and giving an exclusive candle making demonstration at 6.30pm.

Drop in to the store between 6pm and 8pm and you will enjoy a free glass of wine (or two), 10% off all stock, free gift wrapping and friendly, expert booksellers to help you find the perfect, thoughtful gift for your loved ones.
