About us

Former home of poet Percy Shelley, Elcot Park Hotel is an exceptional Georgian country retreat set in 16 acres of landscaped gardens within a parkland estate of outstanding natural beauty.

Within easy reach of the M4 and only 5 miles from Newbury town centre and station, the 18th Century manor house retains many period features with a portrait flanked sweeping staircase and grand fireplace dominating the lounge. This historic country house has been tastefully expanded to incorporate 73 bedrooms without losing any of its rural intimacy.


In addition, there is a conference centre, wedding and banqueting suite as well as the stunning Orangery Bar and Restaurant with sweeping views over the Kennet Valley.

Choose from a diverse collection of mouth watering dishes prepared using fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce. Our rooms

All of our rooms feature flat-screen TV and complimentary WiFi. Some rooms in the eighteenth-century mansion have origional features. Or perhaps in the seclusion of the hotel's renovated stable block.

Upgrade to our privilege and superior rooms and enjoy unlimited movies, a Nespresso coffee machine, robe and slippers and a newspaper. Some of our superior rooms have a sofa to sink into, or a balcony where you can enjoy your view over the hotel garden or surrounding fields.

Elcot Park's experienced wedding planner can help create winter wonderland-themed decorations and tailor the event to your exact requirements. The beauty of a wedding at Elcot Park is its simplicity and ease of organisation. Licensed for civil ceremonies and with plentiful guest accommodation, the entire day can be held under one roof.

A wide range of packages are available and include everything from room hire, welcome drinks, a three course menu for the wedding breakfast as well as an evening buffet, overnight accommodation in the bridal suite and a red carpet arrival. Weddings for 60 day guests and 100 evening guests are available for £4,700.

Elcot Park regularly host wedding fairs so that prospective brides and grooms can get the feel for what's on offer and find inspiration and ideas for their big day. These no obligation occasions are a great way to save time and streamline your planning as you explore all possible options under one roof. A variety of exhibitors will be on hand to help you plan your perfect day.

Showcase Evenings

Showcase evenings are a relaxed opportunity to see the hotel decked out for a wedding and experience what your big day would look and feel like. No obligation, no hard sell, just wander around and see for yourself what photos can't tell you.

Showcase evenings run from 6-8.30pm and are scheduled to run on 18th February, 17th March, 21st April, 19th May and 8th September in 2016.
