Set in the upscale Thameside village of Pangbourne, the Elephant is a stylish but relaxed Empire-themed 19th Century hotel with beautifully handcrafted Indian furniture, rich oriental rugs and delicate fabrics Only 3 minutes walk from Pangbourne railway station the Elephant is an easily accessible oasis of laid-back charm and friendliness. Medieval-style dining hall with huge signature fireplace for open-flame cooking. This is food as theatre with a selection of modern British cuisine and adventurous cuts of meat - Kobi, Wagu, Tomahawk and even 2 1/2 lb Porterhouse steaks. The Elephant uses seasonal, locally sourced produce wherever possible as well as micro-brew and artisan beers. The focus is on shared dishes and bringing people together in an atmosphere of conviviality where you can linger long after the plates have been cleared.

Ah, the comfort. Twenty two individually styled bedrooms with no compromise on quality or detail. Individual in style but identical in attention to detail, each room has all the mod-cons we have come to expect. Free WiFi, flat-screen TV with over 50 channels and DVD player with a selection of movies available. Specialty tea and coffee and bespoke soaps and bubble bath. Like all the best hotels, The Elephant is dog-friendly and always have at least one room available for those who want to bring their pet with them. Come and join us on Sunday 26th February 2017 at The Elephant Hotel to view our venue for your upcoming wedding.

Enjoy a glass of fizz and some canapés while taking a look around the hotel, which will be setup as though for a wedding. We will also have a range of our recommended suppliers available to chat to and our Wedding & Events Manager, Claire Cole, who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to show you around.

All their delicacies, both sweet and savoury, are made in-house by their expert pastry chef and served with a remarkable selection of wonderful Novus Loose leaf teas, presented in clear glass brewing pots with hour glass timers, ensuring perfectly brewed lose leaf tea.
