Activities

If you've ever wondered if you might enjoy discussing books, there are two Hungerford Library Book Clubs for you to chose from.  The First Division Book Group meets on the first Friday of each month from 5-6pm and the Bookworms Book Group 2 meets on the 3rd Friday of the month from 5.30-6.30pm.  For further details call 01488 682660 or go to www.westberks.gov.uk/bookgroups.

Bring your knitting, sewing or any other craft along to Craft and Chat, every Friday from 10am-12pm. 

The library has its own Gardening Club which meets on the 2nd Friday of the month from 5.30-6.30pm where you can get inspiration and share ideas with other green-fingered enthusiasts.

Designed primarily for the visually impaired but open to anyone with a love of art, history and nature, the Touch to see Book Club has its next meeting on Tuesday 7th February at 11am.  For further details call Maria on 01635 299771 or email her .

The Reminiscence Group offers all comers the opportunity to talk about past times and share their memories every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the months from 11-am-12pm.  Call 01488 682660 for details.

The youngest members of our community come together at Rhymetimes every Wednesday during term time at 11am for a fun session of rhymes, stories and songs for children up to the age of four.  Other activities are held during the school holidays.

Young and old alike are welcome to come along and enjoy the Word-Play Club every Friday at 2pm where they can explore and have fun playing with words.  Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
