hungerford food festival

Your career to chef stardom could begin in the Hungerford Town Hall this Sunday (Sept 29th) if you enter this year's Food Festival Cookery Competition.

All you have to do is make a scrummy dish (to fit on a 9" paper plate provided) in any of the eight categories: savoury or sweet (flour and eggs), gluten free savoury or sweet, preserves, pickles and chutneys or jellies and jams, soft beverages and alcoholic beverage (over 18s) plus a produce class for home grown fruit, vegetables, herbs etc.

Your entries should be taken to Hungerford Town Hall on Sunday morning at 11.00 and will be judged that day. And illustrious judges they are too: Clare Marriage from Doves Farm Foods, Rachel Rice from Beechwood Eggs, Lanie Allen from Lanie's Preserves and Jane Denham who is a small-holding and wine making expert.
