Wanted: young fire-fighters

Young people (12-16) who are attracted by the appeal and danger of fire-fighting can take their first step on the fire service career ladder at Hungerford fire station on Wednesday, July 16th (19-21.00) to look around a ‘have a go’.

And if they like what they see, young heroes to be can join the Young Fire-Fighters Programme, run by the Royal Berks Fire and Rescue Service and held locally during term time , every Thursday evening (19-21.00) at the fire station from this September to next July.

During the programme, young volunteers will learn about theoretical and even practical fire service techniques and activities.
